Subnautica 2 and Forza Horizon 6 Headline the First Batch of Xbox Game Pass Games for May 2026

Xbox has unveiled the first batch of Xbox Game Pass games that’ll hit the service in May 2026, with two of 2026’s biggest releases set to arrive on day one for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Those games are, of course,Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2, as one of the most anticipated first-party Xbox Game Studios‘ game releases and the most wishlisted game on Steam pair up on the same subscription service.

They aren’t the only two games entering the service in the first half of May, of course. An additional seven games are joining the service, with five out of all nine new games being day-one additions. While the other titles mentioned in today’s blast are being shuffled around to be available on what is currently the middle Game Pass tier, Game Pass Premium.

Wheel World, Descenders Next (Game Preview), WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers, and DOOM: The Dark Ages all fall in that category, as they move from being available exclusively to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to also being available at the Game Pass Premium level.

While other notable new entries to the service include indie exploration game Outbound, the PvPvE multiplayer shooter that goes between ship combat and FPS gameplay Wildgate, and Mixtape, the highly anticipated narrative adventure from developer Beethoven and Dinosaur and publisher Annapurna Interactive.

Here’s the full list of games joining Xbox Game Pass this month, which platform they’ll be available on, what tiers they’re arriving at, when they’re arriving, and which ones are shuffling around between the different subscription tiers:

  • Wheel World – May 6 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, now also on Game Pass Premium
  • Wildgate – May 6 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, Game Pass Premium
  • WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers – May 6 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, now also on Game Pass Premium
  • Mixtape – May 7 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

  • Elite Dangerous – May 12 – Cloud and Console – Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium
  • DOOM: The Dark Ages – May 14 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, now also on Game Pass Premium
  • Subnautica 2 (Game Preview) – May 14 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass
  • Forza Horizon 6 – May 19 – Cloud, Xbox Series X/S, PC – Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass

Like every new batch of additions, there are new games set to leave the service as well. Though the list of departures is not as long as the last batch, it does include one heavyweight indie as Planet of Lana leaves shortly after the arrival of its sequel in the service. Here’s the full list of games leaving as of May 15, 2026:

  • Go Mecha Ball
  • Kulebra and the Souls of Limbo
  • Paw Patrol Rescue Wheels
  • Planet of Lana
